Your path to your BSN
This program builds on your LPN experience and provides a flexible, supportive path to becoming a registered nurse (RN). You will gain essential skills in clinical decision-making, care planning, and evidence-based practice.

PN to BSN courses are designed to support students and are flexible to allow learners to work while studying.
Start at Camosun, finish at UVic
After successfully completing two semesters of coursework at Camosun, you’ll transition into the second-year spring practicum of the ϳԹ/University of Victoria's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

What to expect
The courses build on your LPN experience, focusing on clinical decision-making, care planning, ethics, and evidence-based care for acute and chronic conditions. You'll also refine communication and documentation skills from an RN perspective.
Clinical practice takes place mainly in Greater Victoria, with some evening and weekend shifts. During the Fall and Winter semesters, you'll engage in a mix of theory, labs, and hands-on nursing practice. After two semesters, you'll transition into the BSN program to complete your degree.

Below is an example of the Fall 2025 cohort's schedule (subject to change). Fall 2026 will have a different course schedule.
Year one
Fall (Sept to Dec) –Academic term one
- Full-time, one day a week on campus (Monday)
- ENG 151 or equivalent:Online or in-person
- NURS 112:Online (asynchronous)
- NURS 252:3-hour lab on campus + 3 hours online (asynchronous)
Winter (Jan to Apr) – Academic term two
- Full-time, 3 days on campus (Monday to Wednesday)
- HLTH 111:Online or in-person
- NURS 253:3-hour lab on campus (Monday) + 3 hours online
- NURS 233:Two 2-hour classes per week on campus
- PHIL 250:One 3-hour class per week on campus
Merge into BSN cohort
Spring (May to Jun) –
- Full-time (Monday–Saturday)
- NURS 290:Threeconsecutive8-hour clinical shifts per week
Year two
Fall (Sept to Dec) –Academic term five
- Full time course load, 5 days on campus/week (Monday-Friday)

Practical Nursing Bridge, Baccalaureate of Science
$6,030 (domestic)
Domestic tuition fees vary depending on the individual course fees for the classes you select.
